My name is James Bannon. I'm a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at Courant at NYU working with Bud Mishra. My thesis committee consists of Bud, Charlie Cantor, and Tamar Schlick. My academic and professional interests lie in using new techniques from machine learning to address difficult and important problems in biology and biotechnology. In particular, I am in developing principled, biologically-sound models and methods that can be used to improve therapy design and clinical decision making.
